I just got home from the transfer. We were able to transfer 2 beautiful blasts today. Seeing the photos of the embryos is amazing beyond any words. I listened to "Shine on you crazy diamond" by Pink Floyd as the transfer was happening. My RE joked that whatever name is in the song title is to be the name of our child. LOL. The transfer went well. We were all chuckling and smiling the whole way through. Afterwards, I relaxed in my solitary room in a comfy recliner, looking out the big picture windows, out to the park. I continued to listen to music on the ipod, feeling amazingly blessed to be in that moment.
Our RE stated that our chances are 80% success rate, and 50% chance for twins. Our embryologist stated that he was freezing 2 other blasts today, and will recheck on the others, and thinks there will be another 6 blasts to freeze. We couldn't ask for better numbers.
The most beautiful sound I've ever heard were the words spoken by my RE, embryologist, nurse, and our egg donor coordinator today, when they each said "You're pregnant now. Congratulations!". Now let's just pray that I stay that way. I go in on the morning of the 12th for my blood work to find out...so exciting!
Wow...I'm without words right now. I'm so happy that this day has finally arrived for you and Jeff. I'm praying for you Toots :)
ReplyDelete*sniff sniff* tears of joy...congrats again!
ReplyDeleteP.S. While I LOVE that song, please don't name your baby Crazy Diamond, ROFL
