We just heard from our embryologist. Out of the 26 eggs retrieved yesterday, 24 were excellent, mature quality eggs. That in itself is amazing! It gets even better...out of those 24, 22 have developed into embryos. 22!!! Even the embryologist is blown away by such a high number. He stated that he will check them again on Monday, and if for some reason they aren't looking so great anymore he will want to do the transfer on Monday. But if they are looking as good as they are now, he will do the transfer on Wednesday. We are absolutely blown away by these numbers. You have to understand that these numbers are much higher than the average IVF cycle. As a joke, Jeff suggested that I say to my RE with a straight face, "Hey, how about we transfer all 22 at once, so I can really beat octomom!". Hahahaha. When of course the reality is that only 2, perhaps 3 will be transfered at one time.
We couldn't possibly feel any more blessed right now. Our donor really did us good. :)
